acton throwdown

tired girls

This post is coming a few days late, but better late then never right?! We are very proud of the Southie crew that competed in the competition at CrossFit 2a this past weekend. The second picture is what I saw when I walked into the gym…haha. This was after the first 2 workouts, they were just resting up for the next one! They all did awesome, and we had a few first place finishes! Vito took first for the scaled men, and Haley took first place for the RX women. Liz Mitchell took first in the third workout of the day, which was an exciting performance.

Competing is a great way to not only get better at Crossfit, but also to build camaraderie with other athletes. On January 19th CrossFit New England is hosting a heavy hitters competition. We have six athletes competing:Β  Haley, Julie, TJ, Goose, Bish, and Mike Hyatt. Come out and support, it should be quite the show. Also Eugene and Hanson are throwing down at the Avalon competition in Charlestown that same dat, that will be a fun one to watch too!
