Injury Prevention Lecture

Tomorrow night (Wednesday, November 20th) Dr. Sean Rockett, an orthopedic surgeon and CrossFitter, will be giving a lecture on injury prevention. This should be a priority for all of you toasties!!! His lecture is designed to help keep athletes healthy and for them to continue to WOD safely. He will discuss the anatomy of the body, mechanisms of injury, and signs and symptoms of injuries. Topics will include ways to recognize injuries, what to do if you have them, and how to treat them and PREVENT them. They are requesting  a $20.00 cash donation to the American Red Cross at the door. 1. Work on freestanding handstand holds and handstand walking (10 minutes)

    Bro Toasties… Did the Southie Showdown give you the itch to compete again? Stafford and I are doing the team comp at CF The Taj on Saturday. It’s just one day, near South Station and the wods look doable. We have a possible team mate looking at his calendar but if that doesn’t work, we will need an able-bodied-bro. It should be fun! You will get a few wods in, earn your thanksgiving pie, check out the new box and I think there’s even a post comp afterparty. A top place finish is highly unlikely but with me and Stafford a good time is guaranteed! What more could you ask for?
