    WOD: 17:20 L2 blue band

    Friday Night Fight
me vs my inner fat guy

Today was just one of those days. I woke up on the wrong side of the bed. Survived the workday and drove home. My inner fat guy really wanted to sit on the couch and prepare to watch Shark Week but I dragged myself to the Box for the 7 pm class. I figured the 7 pm crew would provide some energy. Well the 7 pm crew was me and one athlete. There were more coaches than athletes in the box. I needed everyone of them. I was completely gassed half way through the WOD.

Sammy, these are the days that make you better. The days you’d rather not show up but you do anyways. I was feeling the same way today – but I always feel better walking out than walking in and that’s the name of the game. Nice work today.

Quite a list of achievements in a very short period of time! Way to go everyone! The only thing I can add is that I have since increased my front squat from 225×1 to 225×2. Front squatting has changed from one of my least favorite to one of my most favorite movements…
    Power Snatch: 95×3 (MAJOR goat)
WOD: 9:53 L2 w/ little purple band for ring dips – The WOD wasn’t so bad during it but man have I been hurting for the hour since!

My PR: 225# x 3 lowbar back squat. My first more-than-bodyweight squat!

    75#
8:48 @ 135# – should have done Rx. I had plenty of rest time thanks to my slowass ring dips.

115 lb. x 3 (dogged it; as Barrow would say, this was my PW); 13:59 Rx.

    145# x 3, 12:17 RX.
Ring dips got slow. Deadlifts got heavy. but its Friday and I’m feeling good. Have a good weekend.
Nice work on the PRs everyone. I’m glad to know Guyton can front squat more than I can deadlift.
