Phil Hulse was one of our very first members here at CFS and we are truly sad to see him go. Phil had a hand in the programming today (his last day at CFS) and each and everyone of you should set a new C&J pr to send him on his way. Best of luck in Sunshine State Phil, we’ll miss our little brother.

We have a lot of exciting events in the coming months. Make sure that you mark you calendars!
- September 18th– Paleo Brunch at the Colvin’s. Starting at 11am. $5 to join in. Bring a specialty paleo brunch item if you would like! Kristen and James live in Southie, we will give their address and directions in a later post.
- September 24th & 25th. CFNE GARAGE GAMES! There are few spots left for this competition. There are scaled and RX divisions. the even is great for first time competitors. Don’t miss out. Southie has A LOT of members competing. If you don’t feel ready to compete yet, then please come out and support your fellow members.
- October 1st: Southie 1 year anniversary celebration. During morning classes: Photo Scavenger Hunt- more details to come. Then at night, we are partying hard upstairs at the Stadium. The Stadium has an enormous private room with a big dance floor and full bar. We will be providing lots of appetizer food, a DJ, and hopefully a slide-show. Friends and Family are welcome. I will be sending out an Evite very soon.
- The Month of October=Breast Cancer Awareness Month– We are going to be selling shirts to raise money for Susan G Komen. I am stumped on what to put on these t-shirts. If anyone has any clever ideas that involve CrossFit Southie and breast cancer please post to comments. All I know is that I want pink t-shirts with green writing….other than that I am stumped!
