Hey Paleo Pals! If you are taking part in the Paleo Challenge you should have received an email giving you a username and password. I want you all to find a partner to keep you on track and to log your points on the paleo scoreboard. The scoreboard you should be familiar with from the previous challenge. This time you will start with 100 points every 3 days. The check in days are the: 30th, 2nd,5th,8th,10th,13th,16th,19th,22nd and 25th. This will give everyone more points to work with. Remember your goal is to have 100+ points at the end of the 3 days. If you blow one 3-day period, that’s ok! You start over with 100 points and can try again. If you have more questions post to comments.

General Physical Preparedness (GPP) is a term used to describe the generalized base qualities of an athlete (also known as a CrossFitter).   The aim of GPP is to establish a broad foundational fitness level that can then be converted and applied throughout a wide range of tasks. This is what we do. CrossFit is the pursuit of a generalized model of fitness, hoping to consistently make gains in the 10 Components of Fitness, which include:

  • Cardiorespiratory Endurance
  • Stamina
  • Strength
  • Flexibility
  • Power
  • Speed
  • Coordination
  • Accuracy
  • Agility
  • Balance

GPP in a nutshell is fitness.  This is what we, as CrossFitters, pride our selves on….being great in “The Sport Of Fitness”.    It is our goal to address The  10 Components of Fitness on a consistent basis.   Being well rounded in our fitness pursuits allows us to better handle the challenges of life and/or competition.  GPP leaves us ready and able to handle any task that is thrown our way, that is why today we’re not telling you the task that is thrown your way.  You will have to come in to find out.  And when you do come in, let’s keep it hush hush.  No leaking info to other classes or a 50 burpee penalty will be assessed.

WOD
We’re not telling.  Come on in to find out.

Once, when I was 10, I was at a friends birthday party. We played games, spilled kool-aid, ate to much candy, puked in a potted plant, the usual. Then, after the cake, my friends parents called everyone to come see the SECRET big gift that was being kept in a closet. Everyone gathered down the hall outside the door. I had no idea what the gift was but for some reason I shouted out “It’s a bike!” Well, it WAS a bike. I still remember the stares. The evil looks. How was I supposed to know? It could have been a monkey for all I knew.

So on that note, I won’t be venturing a guess at what the WOD is.
