“Marissa’s Story”

Marissa and I started working together in May of 2009. Marissa has two disabilities, cerebral palsy and visual impairment. I have trained her 3x/week since we met and she has made enormous strides since our first appointment. Her walking, balance, and coordination has improved drastically.

Whether you are 90lbs or 300lb;, an athlete or disabled; you can do CrossFit. All it takes is hard work and dedication. Marissa works hard everytime despite her severe limitations. We could all learn a thing or two from her. Take advantage of the fact that you have the ability to function normally, and take it to the next level. Too many people make too many excuses and end up burdening themselves with diseases they were not born with, or predisposed to. Take care of your body, and work your butt off every time you come in here. There is no excuse not to…

Again Faster did an interview with Marissa and I, and “Marissa’s Story” was featured on the main site last week. Check it out!

Agreed, bring Marissa in for a WOD. I don’t want to be the only one that’s openly loves burpees!
