Lucky #

I wanted to send this picture a few weeks ago and forgot. Funny thing is I’m not sucking my stomach in…and the pack I have on had not been readjusted from the last time I was in Costa Rica and I only got bigger… The picture below with Jro is the first couple weeks after moving to Boston last year in April.. I think I started CF in July. I weighed (the last time I looked) was a round 225lbs or so… and now I weigh on average about 185lb…so I would say CrossFit works!!! I can list a million other great reasons why I love CrossFit but most importantly is I’m back.. I started playing hockey again a few months ago as a result am going to Europe next week to play with a team representing Boston, as well in the end of June I’m Climbing Mt Kilimanjaro all cool things because of CF..So I wanted to give a shout out to you guys, and say thanks and I m so glad I came back after the first day that I thought I was going to have a heart attack!!!
So thanks!! – Darin

    DBIBIBIBIBIBIBIBIBIBEAU!!! Those results are uncanny!

I freakin’ love this guy, this comment box isn’t big enough to fit all the good things I could say about him. All of our members are nice people, but Darin’s beyond friendly. Just his presence in class brings a good vibe, it pumps me up. I just wish I could be around him more, he’s seemingly always on a trip somewhere! I also love that he signed up for the Games this year and worked his ass off on each WOD. He’s no elite Crossfit athlete, so I really respect the way he stepped up to the challenge. I specifically remember watching him on WOD 12.2 one Saturday afternoon. I don’t think he thought he had a chance in hell at getting any snatches at 135# but instead of getting frustrated he stayed with it and ended up getting a handful of them.

Amy and Goose, I also want to give a shout out to Aaron, Christina, and Harris. Despite me trying to convince my friend Lauren (and her boyfriend) to join CF Southie ever since I joined in August, Lauren has been reluctant to try it out. However, your Saturday WOD down at the track was more promotion that I have ever preached.

It was bring a friend day and so I extended an invitation to Lauren. My “plus 1” was really impressed by the level of attention that Aaron, Christine, and Harris gave her. On top of a phenomenal workout, the level of coaching that was provided exceeded her expectations. Lauren was surprised how much attention and feedback/critique was extended to her, a non-member. And because of this, she’s considering joining!

Thanks for caring about our well-being and for instilling the professionalism that has become the coaching standard at CF Southie!

Congrats Darin! I would say it works, too. We started Crossfit around the same time I think, give or take a month. My results aren’t quite that dramatic, but I’ve been noticing a lot of my pants don’t fit anymore! (They’re too loose, I mean). It’s pretty amazing.
