Ben thanks for shouting out! It was truly inspiring to see every athlete at Crossfit southie (competitor or not) throw it all on the line every week for the five grueling weeks of the Crossfit opens. I watched athletes give everything they had, dig down deep and grind through the pain. There were a plethora of PAHHHs and there were so many athletes who pushed themselves to a level they never thought possible. Every member of our community should be proud of their accomplishments!

Physically demanding… Emotionally wearing…. Hand tearing…. That’s Crossfit baby, get some!

    Out!

Thanks for posting, Ben! Truly amazing how much work, intensity, and dedication the CrossFit Southie Team has shown. You guys/gals inspire me to work harder every time I’m at CFS and I will be there cheering you on every day at Regionals! I couldn’t be prouder to belong to the same box as all of you,
And also a shout out to CrossFit Southie as a whole. I just saw that the CrossFit Southie II team had the 3rd largest # of individuals of any team in the North East region. I believe the top 2 were from NYC, so this just shows how dedicated CFS is!

I’m am quite shocked that the Southie Team hasn’t gotten the credit that it deserves from this community that we so often talk about. Not so much as a shout out on the website regarding their 6th place finish out of over 260 teams in the region. This is a hell of an accomplishment and each athlete deserves to be recognized. These members have poured their blood, sweat, and tears into these workouts and their training over the past year. You’ve earned that spot at Regionals and I look forward to being there to cheer you on! Congratulations to all of you! Y’all are a true inspiration to the rest of us!

I couldn’t agree more! Where’s the shout out?! Seeing the improvements each athlete has made since last year’s Games season is simply awesome. And, a 6th place finish when the competition is fiercer than ever, amazing. I am so excited for Regionals weekend! From the hootin’ and hollerin’ for the CFS competitors to harassing Coach DeDonno while he attempts Grace in a tiny tank…so much to look forward to!

        PREACH HOOG!

Agree with Borg about it being fiercer than ever. More athletes getting into it every year, more affiliates opening up, old teammates shifting gyms, every year is more competitive than the last. 6th out of 262 is freakin’ CRAZY. Big congrats.

I can’t believe I forgot DeDonno’s Grace!!! If I didn’t see him since, someone could convince me that he’s still out there sitting in a camping chair recovering. I’m pretty sure the sun was shining DIRECTLY on that court when he did the wod and then spent the rest of the day under the tarp. Here’s another #regionalsmoment: Lil John’s GOOSE CALL.

I’m pretty positive I got sun poisoning that weekend. We did WHITTEN that Monday right after Regionals and it was the worst I’ve ever felt working out.

Oh I went to class tonight. All day there were no classes with an odd number of people. Of course I was the one to break that streak and third wheeled it up.
        TRIPOD: 20:11 (165# squats, red-banded ring dips)

This literally had me laughing so hard, Jason.

Southie as a whole killed it this year and it was so amazing to see everyone crush the five wods. I loved coming in to see people testing, and retesting, and restesting AGAIN!
Last year being at regionals is probably one of the best weekends I have had. Not only because CFS was able to compete, but because the weekend was filled with support, inspiration, and fun. Being around people who all find enjoyment in doing the same thing was so motivating. I am so proud of everyone who contributed to both teams this year! HELL YA CFS!!
