I really think those recent HSPU and Wall Climb wods scarred me because everything seems so freakin’ fun now. 7PM was a party.

    DL 165# (PR!)
    45# box jump x 1 (almost fell over) 40#x2
    8:51, 75#, blue ball
Wallballs got real messy at the end. Legs were burning for sure.

Strength Deadlift 315# seated box jumps 20# vest 1 sand bag, and a near death experience with vest sandbag and 2 26 # kettlebells. It was quite comical btw.
Wod: 8:27 (?) level 2.5-cleans 135# wall balls black ball

    Strength:
    Deadlifts: Started at 225lbs (79% of 1RM), ended at 275lbs (96% of 1RM)
Seated Box Jumps: Not to sound like a wuss, but these scared the hell out of me. Worked my way up from .75pd to 1pd (goblet squat style). Tried last set at 1.25pd. Got the first one. Then I made 2 very elegant seated box jump tumble/fall flips (without hurting myself!) and decided to end it at that!
WOD: 9:01 L2 – slowly but surely these 20lb wall balls are becoming less and less goat-ish.

I believe Ralph Wiggum coined the phrase “It tastes like burning”.

345 DL 70lbs on jumps, and was in the 7s on the wod but can’t recall. I love these heavy lifting days!

Is there an ideal percentage of our 1RM we should be using for the deadlifts? I feel like I’ve been all over the spectrum of inappropriate weight for these EMOMs, too light and too heavy.

The consensus this morning was 80-85%

I know what you mean, Jason. Although the last time we did 3 heavy deadlifts EMOM for 10 minutes, Nick had me going even heavier. My 1RM is/was 285lbs. I did the first 3 sets at 245lbs (86% of 1RM) and the last 7 sets at 265lbs (93% of 1RM). I needed every last second of that final minute to finish though! And of course maybe 285lbs isn’t really my 1RM!

Id say use all the remaining plates in the box, no sense pussyfooting around

    EMOM w/Mike F. – 275# DL, 70# box jump (1pood KB in each hand).
WOD – 7:25 RX. I was really happy to finish this one RX. I had used a 15# and 10# instead of a 25# just so I could bail out if I had to…thankfully I didn’t have to.
We were going to DL more, but Rollins used up all the weights in the gym.

Had your 5:56 in mind during this one but couldn’t make it happen!
