WOD 7 +7 Rx !! guess who got a new piece of CFS swag. (that’s my own rule, can’t buy any CFS clothing unless I RX a wod)
the jerks in rounds 5 thru 7 were like a root canal, without the anesthesia!! cleans were suprisingly relatively easy. or maybe i was just hallucinating!!

C&J: 145×2 – was stumped as to why I was having so much trouble tonight (other than being a bit out of practice) and then remembered that I could squat clean instead of trying to power clean. Closed out the strength session with 165×1, which tied a PR.
And then a funny thing happened. With just 1 successful lift, I went from being in a crappy mood to an awesome one, which lifted me straight through the WOD, on which I was quite happy with my performance…
WOD: 8 rounds even – L2
And a big CONGRATS to Nicole…that is such a great accomplishment. Very proud of you!!! And yup, no turning back now!!
Closing thoughts: I could work all day in the office and be fine, but after 20 minutes of doing clean & jerks on the platforms I am mentally EXHAUSTED!!

C&J: 205×2 (PR CITY!!!)

I get really bad tendonitis in my elbows every time I do rope climbs. To combat it I voodoo floss band the hell out of them and stretch everything above and below the elbows, pretty much anything that could be pulling on that tissue. I did that before last night’s class and was fine. I should have done the same post-wod because my elbows flared up BIG TIME on the platforms tonight, to the point that I was just going through the motions in the wod. Looking forward to hitting that one again.

Sammy – I have the exact same pair and we were sharing a platform so to be safe I double checked my bag to be safe. No luck man. Sorry.

On another note, Kate and I stayed behind to work on some goats…finally got unassisted pull-ups!! Not able to really link them just yet but I got 2 totally legit pull-ups with Kate as my witness! Thanks to Coach Chuck for helping me through the hard times and working with me on a solid plan to finally get rid of that pesky red band! No turning back now;)

Yoooooo! Achievement of the year candidate right here! I don’t think an Internet comment can fully convey how psyched I am about those pull-ups.

great job Nicole! I am psyched for you! Pull ups are hard enough but your long arms don’t make them any easier!! Great work!

9+9 RX. Tried to keep a steady pace through this one….then I saw how fast Mark R. was going next to me and that plan went out the window…still couldn’t keep up. I liked this one a lot. 135# got heavy for the jerks in the rounds of 6+.
