Amy, why do you hate us? Actually that wasn’t as bad as my imagination had me thinking it would be.

    YO,MILESTONE!
Tonight I filled up that little green notebook that I write all of my lifts and WOD’s down in. I started it when I started here last Feb and have recorded every class I’ve taken, 275 classes in total (yeah I counted em). It’s filled with blood/sweat/tears…literally. Flipping through it I found blood stained pages and smudged writing where sweat dripped on fresh ink. I’m going to take the notebook down to the 400m line and light it on fire. Not to worry though, I have a fresh notebook ready to take its place. So the way I figure it, you’re all stuck with me for at least another 275 classes.

On a different note. What’s really cool about CFS is that we have so many coaches (and helpful peers). Everyone is teaching the same technical cues, but might use slightly different language to describe the movement. One single word when being taught a movement could click with you when the same cues explained differently haven’t. I’ve heard “push away from the bar” forever on kipping pullups, hell, I’ve been doing it forever myself. But tonight was the first time it’s clicked for me that you should be pushing HARD off the bar because we were told to “punch” through the bar, revelation. There’s been multiple instances where all of a sudden I could do something I couldn’t do before or could do it better because it was being described in a way I haven’t heard before, a way that clicked with me. I love that.
