WOD
12 days of CrossFit Southie

1 Thurster in a Burpee (115, 80)
2 Turkish Get ups (1.5/1; one for each arm)
3 Front Squats (115,80)
4 Clean and Jerks (115,80)
5 GOLDEN SWINGS (1.5/1)
6 SDHP (115,80)
7 Clapping Pushups
8 Knee To Elbows
9 Kipping Pullups
10 Lords of Leaping (24,20)
11 Overhead Squats (115,80)
12 HSPU’s

L3 (95,65); (1/.5)
L2 (65, 45); (1/.5)
L1 (45,25); (1/.5)

For each day. you complete the # of reps and work your way down the list, just like the song.  After completing the Thruster in a Burpee proceed to the next day.  For example on day 5 you would do 5 kb swings, 4 clean and jerks, 3 front squats, 2 turkish get ups and a thruster in a burpee and then proceed on to day 6. This is a tough wod, we can substitute and scale to make it doable for everyone.

WOD: 10 days and 8 KTE Rx

    Started day 11 @ 32:20..OHS took ~ 6 mins, but still glad I got through one set of 11 @ 115.

This WOD doesn’t stand a chance next year.

I am pretty sure I did a full day more than last year. I dont thinkr I got to the OHS last year.

I got through 11 full days and 7 HSPU. Spent 3 full minutes on the 11 OHS and another 3 minutes to get those 7 HSPU. Clearly two serious weaknesses.

I was both dreading and looking forward to this WOD… so glad I did my first 12 Days of CFS!

Made it through 10 full rounds + 9 pull-ups (L2, R&B bands). This WOD was an eye-opener because I realized that as hard as I’m pushing myself, I’m not pushing as hard as I can… looking forward to setting and crushing a whole bunch of goals in 2012.

I learned I need to work on A LOT in 2012!! I hover between L1 and L2. I got to the handstand pushups in Day 12, but didn’t get back to anything else. Only got through the HSPU bands and Chuck helping me through them (thank you!!). I accidentally skipped a few burpees in the thrusters, and didn’t complete some of the clean and jerks properly so really, it wasn’t pretty at all. But….I’m happy I came to class tonight. 🙂

Thanks to Chuck, the 7pm class go past the cap until we all finished.

53:15, 95# (75# for OHS), 1.5 pd swings, .75 pd TGU, and a whole mess of bands. I got to day 10+2 KB at the 40 minute mark.

Probably the most challenging CF workout I’ve done so far. Can’t wait for next year!

10 full days + 1 Front squat (at 75#)…. almost got through the 11th day, can’t wait for the 12th day next year. Nice Job to everyone in the 5PM class, not much standing around- great motivation 🙂

I distinctly remember skipping this wod last year but glad I made it this year!  10 full days + 9 OHS @ L3 but 1.5pd in the swings.  Props to Andrea and Mel for basically not stoping throughout the wod and a 5:30pm that was all business.
