have you given all you got?

For validating purposes and to stay green, only peeps doing the Opens will be using the official printed Scoresheets.ย  Everyone else in classes today should be using the small erasable whiteboards.ย  Your staff and your environment thanks you.

Open WOD 12.2
Proceed through the sequence below completing as many reps as possible in 10 minutes of:

30 Snatch (M 75 / F 45 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 135 / F 75 lbs)
30 Snatch (M 165 / F 100 lbs)
Max Rep Snatch (M 210 / F 120 lbs)

This workout begins from the standing position. The athlete will complete all reps at the first weight before advancing to the next weight. Score is total reps completed in 10min.

Only one bar will be used and weights will be added to the bar after each set of 30 is complete. For those scaling, consult with your coaches for appropriate weights.

After you have completed the WOD and judging responsibilities, you may use the remainder of class time to stretch or work on skills/goats under the coaches supervision/help. There will be no other optional WOD scheduled

    41 RX

Couldn’t be more excited! I never even attempted a snatch over 115# prior to tonight. Got some great instruction from Maze and Chuck and shocked myself putting up the 135#. Thinking about trying this again, I took my sweet time changing weights and standing around before my first 135# because I didn’t think I’d be able to get one. Now I’m over the fear.

For people who have already tried it any advice on pacing? i feel everyone is looking at the weights and not the reps. plan on trying this tonight.

did this yesterday. did the sets of 10 for 75# sets of 5 for 135 but rested WAY to long between sets. took to long changing out plates as well over did it trying to pace. ended up with 65 reps.

      03/01/2012 @ 4:28 pm

A lot of people were breaking the 75# snatches up into 3 sets of 10 this morning. Changing up the weights on your bar takes about a minute. I was just doing singles on 135 as quickly as I could.

12.2: 57; that first snatch at 135 is WAY heavier than you think it’s going to be.
